At Hot Winter, we believe that every sauce has a story. Our story began at Mt. Home Farm, a homesteading and seed preservation farm run by Sarah Post in Orleans, CA. It was here that Shaun Winter, the founder of Hot Winter, started making fermented hot sauce based on a recipe from Sarah's mother, Liz Hamilton. Over time, Shaun began cultivating his own variety of chili, the Hot Winter Pepper, which he used as the centerpiece for his sauces.
